The Sydney Orthodontic Alumni was established by Professor Darendeliler in 1997 as a vehicle to build a sense of ongoing community between the orthodontists who have trained at the University of Sydney and their teachers as well as current students. We have gone from strength to strength in the promotion of the University of Sydney, Department of Orthodontics as a world-class facility for the training of orthodontists.  We hold regular meetings and conferences, often in conjunction with the New South Wales branch of the Australian Society of Orthodontists. 

As a major part of our activities, we are responsible for the invitation, planning and funding of the biennial Keith Godfrey Visiting Professor to the Orthodontic discipline.
